Bakery Market has grown tremendously in India. According to a study, the Indian Bakery market reached a value of US$ 7.22 Billion in 2018. The pastry is the highest selling product and, its consumption is very high. Therefore, this is how we started the journey with Bake for Me. We got associated with this brand only three months ago and at that time they have only 25 outlets but before starting the projects we have followed some company (Franchise Discovery) instructions.

Brand and its Inception

Mr Shivendra Pratap Singh and Manish Singh started their business in the October of 2015 with only a single outlet, which was run on second-hand machinery. This is how they started their journey. Since their intentions were very clear of bringing something different to the market and Mr. Shivendra had 10 years of experience in the bakery industry, it seemed good enough to start something new and different in the market. He took a total of one year to understand the market, how it functions, its high, lows and benefits. He was very clear that if his business boomed he would invest this money is brand expansion through franchises. In the last 4 years, they did not take on any franchise consultants for expansion and they were doing quite well. 

Mr. Manish Singh is a young zealous professional individual who has experience in the marketing fields and has done courses in Digital Marketing as well. He would himself take care of the investors by meeting them personally and analysing their needs before finally giving out the franchises.
 
When I (Franchise Discovery) joined him, I observed that he provided only high-quality products and services to the customers, which were rare in today’s market. When we researched we got some astonishing results that we could achieve 100% growth within a period of one year or more only which was achieved in the last 2 years.  According to research, there were a lot of investors who were looking for investment between 6-7 lacks but didn’t want to risk it since they had saved up for the last 3-4 years. For them, the bakery model of the franchise was fitting. In the bakery concept, the franchisee would only have to maintain the outlet and would be given 5 days of training. 

Franchise Expansion

The products and logistics would be taken care of by the brand. In this franchise mode, they only have to focus on building the customer base. At this point, the brand was losing big sales since we were not able to reach the customers who were dependent on online ordering according to Mumbai’s population. 
We were losing up to 20-25% sales. Now, Franchise Discovery’s team and Bake for Me’s team are 
working together to achieve the target market and are preparing advertisements for the target 
audience too.  We present our brand differently in different cities, which has been developed 
by the Franchise Discovery team. So far, no concept has been developed in the bakery industry.
